Fit by Kim Personal Training Fitness Studio’s Client Testimonials

I’m in the Silver Sneakers class here. Am really feeling the burn and enjoying every minute. Kim is a wonderful, supportive and optimistic trainer. I don’t believe you’ll find a better instructor.—Roberta S.

Kim is energetic, personable, honest, and professional. I love having her as my personal trainer and my friend. Her energy and upbeat attitude motivates me to push myself harder — to be the best “me” that I can be and to tackle new challenges (like running a 10K or the Warrior’s Dash). She truly listens to all my concerns and the things that impact my health and workout.
With my hectic schedule, she is always willing to adjust, so we make a plan to keep my health/exercise goals on track. When I start to fall “off the wagon,” she is honest enough to tell me and kind enough to extend a hand as she is doing it to help me get back on track. She expects me to work hard and I do work hard; however, I don’t regret a second, because I know in the long run her training and pushing me only helps me.
I am and will be a better person because I have taken the time to care for myself. She helps me to be healthy and take care of “me,” so I can take care of what is important in life — my family. Thanks Kim! You are the best!

My husband and I hired Kim to help us get ready for our first long distance motorcycle ride to Lincoln, Nebraska. We had not been on any regular exercise regimen and were sadly lacking agility, strength, and stamina.
Kim immediately assessed our deficiencies and implemented an exercise plan for improving our flexibility and strength. I have no doubt that without the benefit of Kim’s training, we would not have had the endurance necessary to complete our ride during the record heat wave that followed us from North Carolina to Nebraska in the month of August 2010. Due to Kim’s training, we survived the rigors of riding in the intense heat and we actually enjoyed our first long distance experience.
Kim is an excellent personal trainer, committed to the health and wellbeing of her clients. We highly recommend her to anyone looking to improve his or her health and stamina.

I am a 60-year-old female with several health issues. I hired Kim to work with me to improve my fitness level—even with these issues. My health issues are improved at this time after working with Kim for more than six months. I am also beginning to see my weight drop as a result of becoming more active as well.

Hiring Kim Bolton as my personal trainer has been one of the best investments I have ever made. I have struggled with my weight all my life and when I finally was tipping the scale over 275 pounds and physically feeling absolutely miserable, then knowing my 50th birthday was just around the corner—sort of—I knew I had to do something drastic.
I certainly wasn’t about to go through the shortcut method everyone seems to be doing today, surgery, and I was fed up with the yo-yo dieting. Kim has so much knowledge, patience, and energy. She took a full assessment of what I wanted to accomplish, my physical capabilities and issues. She did not come up with cookie cutter workouts for me. She developed workouts for me that addressed my main physical issues. She also doesn’t stick to one workout. Each week she is adjusting the workout to build on the previous week’s improvements. The best thing is she usually makes it fun!
When I went in, my only focus was how fast I was going to lose the weight. Her focus was how she was going to get me physically stronger and healthier. Big difference! I have now learned, for permanent weight loss and a body that can keep up with the weight loss, slow is the way to go. In the first year, without really changing my eating habits drastically, I lost 50 pounds. However, the real accomplishment is that with Kim’s help, I no longer have consistent back pain (I can’t even remember the last time it hurt), no more pain shooting down my left leg, and my knees rarely have the constant sharp pain (I don’t even think twice about climbing stairs or going hiking any more! I’m back to hiking!). My strength and stamina have dramatically increased.
Now that I don’t have the physical limitations I use to have, thanks to Kim, we are working even harder this year to increase my strength and stamina, and concentrating heavily on retraining me to make healthier choices in what I eat. I can’t wait to report how many inches I have lost when I have reached my goal! (See, I’ve learned to focus on inches, rather than just the pounds.)  I love how my clothes are fitting now.
Kim has taught me that it took me over 30 years to get to where I was, it’s going to take two or three to get back to a healthy weight, healthy physical strength, and healthy stamina. The difference this time will be that since I am doing it the right way, and retraining my body and mind, it will stay off for the rest of my life, because I am now committed to this new life style.
I would highly recommend Kim Bolton as a personal trainer.

Kim has been my personal trainer for approximately 9 months. I’ve had Multiple Sclerosis for 10 years and have balance issues. Since working with Kim, my balance and strength has improved 90%. Kim keeps you challenged and motivated. I highly recommend Kim as a Personal Trainer.

I am what most people would call a “gym rat.” I have always belonged to a gym and over the years, I have worked with a number of different trainers.
Kim and I have been training together for almost two years. When I started, I was unhappy with my weight, my flexibility and balance, and most of all, my body, which I felt was terribly out of shape.
Kim made me set goals, acknowledge my expectations, and be realistic about what I could hope to achieve. From the start she personalized my workouts, always mindful of my physical limitations. As I grew stronger and more fit, she challenged me in ways I didn’t always appreciate. However, looking back, I now see she saw my potential and made me work towards it. She has gotten me to accomplish things I never thought I was capable of. The words, “I can’t,” are not in her vocabulary, but she only asks of you what she knows you can do. She is firm but kind and can get you to do what you thought was impossible. Now, when she introduces a new routine or exercise, I am excited to try something new, and I enjoy the challenge.
I have lost five inches off my waist, three inches off my hips and am “slim and “trim.” I am in the best shape I have ever been and plan to stay that way. That’s why Kim and I will continue to train together.
